As a periodontist, I agree that natural...Very true. As a periodontist, I agree that natural teeth are preferable to any other replacement dentistry has yet to offer, including implants. However, when I choose to recommend an implant in my practice it is usually because there are other issues besides the endodontic treatment option that reduces the long-term overall prognosis of the tooth. Otherwise, if all a tooth needs is endo and can be successfully restored then by all means save the tooth. Implants are the end of the road... save teeth when possible!
