The Endo Blog Welcomes A New Author - Timothy W. Haegen MD


The Endo Blog would like to welcome a new contributing author Dr. Timothy W. Haegen.  Dr. Haegen is a board certified Otolaryngologist (head and neck surgeon).  He is a specialist in treating adults and children with ear, nose and throat disorders and has special expertise in treating complex nasal and sinus disorders practicing at the Arizona Sinus Center in Phoenix, AZ.

Originally from San Diego, California, Dr. Haegen is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of the University of Notre Dame.  He attended Georgetown University School of Medicine.  Dr. Haegen served as an officer in the US Navy where he did a Otolaryngology residency at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego, California. Dr. Haegen served as an ENT department head in Okinawa, Japan and then at Camp Pendleton.

Dr. Haegen then completed a fellowship in Rhinology and Endoscopic Sinus Surgery at the Georgia Nasal and Sinus Institute while training under Dr. Frederick Kuhn, an internationally renowned pioneer and leader in the field of rhinology and endoscopic sinus surgery.  While an expert in all aspects of ear, nose and throat care and head and neck surgery, Dr. Haegen has specialized training and experience treating complex and recalcitrant sinus and nasal disorders.

The close relationship between the maxillary posterior teeth and maxillary sinuses requires understanding and collaboration between dental and medical providers.  Dr. Haegen's expertise will help the readers of The Endo Blog to better understand this important relationship.
